Adding old thermostat data to my thermostat

fivegomad

I recently changed my home wifi network over to a Google WiFi mesh network.  Obviously I had to set up all my devices again, but with my nest thermostat, it would not let me do this - kept telling me there was an error, and that I needed to set up my thermostat again.

So I did that.  Nest thermostat is now working correctly again.

But I've lost all my historical data that I used to be able to access through the Home App.  Is there any way to merge my old thermostat data (I assume it must be in my account somewhere - maybe accessible through the TakeOut website?) with my new thermostat so I have access to all historical data?

Hello fivegomad,

I'm sorry for the late reply. I wanted to ensure everything was working as intended.

Having the device reset to default will automatically clear or remove all the information being created, such as scheduled temperatures and history. The option to merge your previous usage to the current with your Nest thermostat is not an option, but you can try downloading your Nest data from Google Takeout.

Let me know if that helps, or if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thanks,

Mark
