Same, mine will say “starting soon” and give a countdown. It will then start briefly before restarting the process. Sleeping in 80+ degrees tonight!!!

Same, says “starting soon”, counts down, starts briefly, then starts the process over. Sleeping in 80+ degrees tonight 🥵

Sounds like it could be a coolant issue with your air conditioner, if there is a small leak it may not have enough pressure to safely run the system.

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for the input, @Ashepherdson.

@Jacgon4 and @MonI5, it appears to be a power-related concern as your thermostat sends a signal to your AC to activate, but your system is having a hard time sustaining the power it needs, the reason why it short-cycles. To isolate, could you please share with us your thermostat's wiring setup? Also, please check the power readings in the technical information for the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E and the equipment settings for the Nest Thermostat 2020 model.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark
