Air conditioning quit cooling when internet connection was lost.

While having the house painted, the internet wire was disconnected.  The AC compressor quit cooling and only the fan was working.  Checked the compressor and the outlet freon line was dry and warm.  After restoring the internet connection, the compressor is now working properly.

Is there a setting that causes the AC to quit working when internet is lost?  It seems like it should work either way.

Hi Rage51,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

The Nest thermostat should still be controlled and able to heat and cool without connecting it to the internet. Let's check the wires, filters and drip pans. Make sure that the wires are properly seated. Check the battery level by going to settings > battery.

I hope it helps,
Ryan
