Anyone puzzled by Nest Thermostat breaking after almost exactly a year

This is my third nest heat link that has broken almost to the day after a year. 
First one was a week before the year. Second one was to the day. 
third one (my mum next door), 2 weeks after the 1 year. 

very sus. 

will be starting a chat online to get a new one as it’s under warranty AGAIN, just seems odd.
