App and therm not responsive

I'm not sure where the issue lies, but my app used to be very responsive. If I change the temp on there, my ac should kick on or off as needed, quickly. For months now, I'll change the temp on my thermostat via the app and the ac will keep doing what it was doing without a change. If I walk to my nest thermostat I'll see that the temp change I made on the app didn't 'register' per say, and I have to change the temp manually on the thermostat. Any ideas what I can do?

Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? You can visit this link to check what type of thermostat you have. Do you notice any messages or codes in the app or on your thermostat? Please check your thermostat power readout. 


Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:


  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.


Nest Thermostat 2020:

  1. Open the Google Home app and then tap the thermostat and then tap Settings .
  2. Select the Device Information.
  3. Choose Technical Information.


Also, please try to reinstall your application and restart your thermostat.
