App not working and slow thermostat

Hi,

We’ve had the heating off all summer but it’s almost time to turn it on again.  

We had noticed that the thermostats often didn’t trigger the heating coming on even though the display was orange.  And then, and what felt like another few random attempts at turning it on, it eventually worked. 


Along with that, my iPhone app won’t let me log in anymore to our home account so I can’t control it from my iPhone.  

Any thoughts?  Would be sensible for me to do a system reset or does that need a Nest engineer?
