Apple Homekit showing "no response"

Hi, I am having problems with my Apple Home app showing my Nest E thermostat status as "no response". It works perfectly through the Google Home app, however, not through Homekit. I can't use Siri to operate my thermostat and my widget does not work. Initially, this would happen every few days, but now it is happening daily, sometimes even multiple times. I have reset my apple hub (apple tv), I have a new internet modem and router since the issue started, there is no other devices between the thermostat and router, I have reset the matter connection and thermostat. I feel like I have tried every reasonable solution I could think of. I have contacted Nest and their solution was for them to send me another thermostat, but from looking through online posts of people having similar issues, I don't think that makes sense. I think this has something to do with how matter accessories link to Homekit, but reaching out to Apple was also pointless, they deferred to contacting Nest. It appears that there is no solution to this issue and the only thing that works very temporarily it restarting my thermostat manually. This somehow resets the connection and I am able to use my thermostat in Homekit as intended. Resetting my Apple hub does not work and neither does any other step I previously mentioned. Can anyone help?

Hi Knj,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you're experiencing issues with HomeKit while your Google Nest Thermostat E works fine with the Google Home app. As you've indicated the thermostat functions correctly within the Google Home app, the issue likely lies with the third-party HomeKit integration.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,
Manuel

Restarting my Apple tv, modem, router or phone does not fix the connection. Restarting the thermostat is the only thing that reconnects the device, so it appears it is the thermostat itself.
