Automatic seasonal change of Nest Schedule.

We were away during the Christmas period. On returning home I found that the Nest schedule controlling the central heating boiler had been changed by the system. Is there any way of switching this automatic revision of the schedule off?
I was annoyed by the result, as the minimum temperature had been reduced from 15 degrees C to 14.5 degrees C. Strictly speaking this invalidated my house insurance policy, as the minimum temperature of the house heating system must be set to 15 degrees C.

Hi tg2411,

You’re always in control. If you don’t want to use Seasonal Savings, you can turn it off at any time.

  • When you get the Seasonal Savings notification
    • If you don’t want to participate, you can choose 'No Thanks' to opt-out of the program altogether.
  • If you’ve already enabled Seasonal Savings, you can manually override temperature adjustments or stop Seasonal Savings altogether.
    • To manually override temperature adjustments, change the temperature on your thermostat or in your schedule.
      • The Seasonal Savings icon seasonal savings icon will disappear and won’t appear again until Seasonal Savings makes another temperature adjustment.
      • If you have Auto-Schedule enabled, then Seasonal Savings will use your adjustments to find new, more comfortable tweaks to your schedule.
    • To stop using Seasonal Savings, open the Nest app, go to your thermostat and select History Nest protect history icon. . If Seasonal Savings is running, you will find how many days remain and a Stop button.

Important: If you opt-out or turn Seasonal Savings off, you won’t be able to opt-in to the program again until the next season it becomes available.

Hi Edward,

Thanks very much for your response. I did get your Emails and replied twice and each time they bounced!  I did not realise that I had to answer here, just ignorance on my part. All is well now and I have managed to sort the problem out.

Best wishes,

Anthony.
