Automatically turn on fan when upstairs is too hot relative to downstairs

I really like that the sensor and thermostat combined provide a lot of features for automation and for anticipating needs. One need that my two-story home requires that is not apparently supported. Is the ability to detect the difference between the upstairs temperature as measured by my sensor and the downstairs temperature as measured by my thermostat and use that to trigger the fan to run to try to equalize those temperatures. That would be a really useful feature and I'm thinking of automating that using my home automation system external to the thermostat. But if the thermostat did it, i would certainly use it. Thanks for making a good product.

@AlanBM , the nest thermostat has the ability to set a fan schedule.   You could schedule an hourly run for say 20 minutes.

This is exactly what I came looking for a solution to. The downstairs stays cool. If I could simply circulate the air based on a temperature sensor, it would save a lot of energy. I was going to look into third party sensors that trigger routines, but the only two options you can trigger from an automation in the Google home app is the mode and set point. Can we get the fan added as an option?
