Away is Irritating Me - Since I am Sitting in the House

Google Nest was doing great for a very long time.  Now, it seems that it won't keep these idiotic schedules that it sets up that I keep deleting.  The desired temperature does not stay set to what I want it to be.

Its annoying.  The top number reads 71 while the setting reads 72.  Is this thermo garbage or is there a way to fix this?

Hello mmfila,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Nest Thermostat, and I'm sorry to hear about the frustrations you've been facing. I understand how important it is to have accurate and consistent temperature settings.

In cases like these, it could be helpful to troubleshoot and explore potential solutions.

  • Consider resetting the thermostat and reconfiguring it with your preferred settings. This can often resolve minor issues and bring the thermostat back to optimal performance.
  • Verify that the thermostat's sensors are not obstructed and are placed in an optimal location. Obstructions or improper placement can affect the accuracy of temperature readings.
  • Ensure that your thermostat is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Unstable or weak connections might lead to communication issues, causing the thermostat to not function correctly.
  • Check the Routines and make sure to remove all thermostat actions being created.

Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,
Mark
