Battery quality LEN BATTERY 3.7 Lin 2.0

I have a new 3rd Gen Nest Learning Thermostat. After about a month, I lost wifi due to low power. I checked my power with a multi meter and everyone checks out OK.

I watched a video and saw the issue could be the battery, but I do not know why there is an issue. Is this a faulty unit or could there be another issue?

Hi BuddyO,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. If your Nest Learning Thermostat has a battery level of 3.7 V above, it is supposed to see and connect to your Wi-Fi network. Unless the power fluctuates unknowingly.  Just to confirm, do you have a C wire? Also, performing account connection reset might help.

You can follow this guide:

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Reset.
  4. Select Account Connection.
  5. Reconnect your thermostat to your Wi-Fi network.
    1. Quick View menu > Settings > Network

If the issue persists, check for your router recommended settings.

Here are the most important recommended Wi-Fi networks and router settings:

  1. Enable 802.11 b/g/n if you have an 802.11 ac router.
  2. Set your Wi-Fi router's DHCP lease time to at least 2 hours.
  3. Turn on your router's Power Save Mode (PSM), if you have a Nest thermostat.
  4. Enable IPv6, if you have a Nest Protect.
  5. On your Wi-Fi router, turn on multicast, if you're adding additional Nest devices.

If you're not familiar with Wi-Fi router settings, contact your internet service provider (ISP) or router manufacturer for help with these settings. After enabling those settings, try to connect your thermostat again, and let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jenelyn
