Battery replacement

My nest says replace battery and I need to remove it from the plate. How do I do that?? The video I saw  he just pulled it off and I am unable to do that. I need help

Just grasp it firmly and pull it straight off.

They can seem to be stuck on the first time or two that you try and remove it
