Hi Playday,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat is beeping after a power disconnection. But no need to worry, help's here!
Before we get started with further troubleshooting, let me ask you some important questions:
- What Nest Thermostat model do you have?
- Does the thermostat display show any error codes or messages?
- Have you followed any troubleshooting already?
- What type of system do you have? (Heat Pump or conventional type)
Here are some basic steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue in the meantime:
- Check the Battery: Ensure the thermostat's battery is fully charged. If it's low, replace it.
- Verify Heating/Cooling Mode: Ensure the thermostat is set to the correct mode (heat, cool, or auto) based on your desired temperature.
- Adjust Temperature: If the temperature is set too high or too low, the thermostat might be beeping to indicate the need for adjustment. Adjust the temperature to your desired setting.
- Check for Error Codes: Look for any error codes displayed on the thermostat. If you see an error, please let us know the details.
- Restart Thermostat: Power Cycle the Thermostat: Turn off the breaker that supplies power to your HVAC system for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on. However you can check the following article to Restart or reset a Nest thermostat depending on your device's model.
In case it helps, you can also check the following articles to review the Nest thermostat settings menu or to Troubleshoot when your thermostat won’t turn on.
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Mario
