C wire connection location- Zone board or furnace board

When connecting the C wire, one end is inserted in the C location on the Nest base .  Does the opposite end get connected to its respective Zone location ie Zone 1,  in the zone circuit board or must the C wire be connected to the furnace circuit board?  My blower has random 1/2 second pauses during a cycle and lately I've be seeing "delay" on my app.  all makes me suspicious of the C wire

Hi Therealduke,

Thanks for bringing this up; I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.

You can connect the other end of the wire to the zoning board, as the zoning board is connected to your furnace circuit board.

The "Delay" message on the Google Nest Thermostat might show as part of the maintenance band, which allows the temperature in your home to change by a few degrees before turning on your system. You may notice a difference, but you should still be comfortable. This typically happens on a newly installed thermostat.
