Can’t connect my nest to my iPhone

I can’t connect my I phone to my nest. My husbands is but mine won’t and not sure why

Once setup with the app for the first time, you don't follow the same process again for additional phones. Ask your husband to invite you to the home following the steps below. Once you accept the invite, you'll see the home and the thermostat appear in your app.

Share a home and devices in the Google Home app - Google Nest Help

Note your email address must be a Gmail address, or you need to create a Google account using that email address.
