Hi, I'm having problems disabling the auto-schedule in the app. I have tried turning it off within the app however it keeps turning itself back on. I have tried manually setting my schedule many times but it keeps overriding with random heating settings. It's getting a bit frustrating as it's far from smart but really just random heating times which I want to disable.
So far I've tried fully resetting the thermostat a few times now but it keeps doing the same thing - turning the auto-schedule on even when I've disabled it.
Finally within the nest app I have 2 homes for some reason. They are the same address but I can't delete either (I go to delete home but it does nothing). The thermostat is only registered in one however. I'm not sure if this could be an issue.
Please let me know if there's anyway to solve for this? The thermostat is only a few weeks old, I had it professionally installed but i'm starting to wonder if it's defected.
Many thanks,
Ben

Hi ben_242,
Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that the auto-schedule feature of your Nest Thermostat keeps getting back on even though you've disabled it already. It sounds like you're having trouble disabling the auto-schedule and encountering issues with the app's behavior. Are you located in North America or Europe? What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Regarding the issue with having two homes in the Nest app, it's possible that this could be causing some conflicts or confusion. While it may not directly impact the auto-schedule issue, it's worth trying to resolve this problem. to delete a duplicate home:
I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving the issues with your Google Nest Thermostat!
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Zoe

Hi Zoe,
Many thanks for your response.
I'm based in Europe and have the Nest Learning 3rd Generation.
I've checked the app and I have the latest version however I believe it to be an app issue as I have manually turned off the schedule on the thermostat and it's been 8hrs so far and it's still not turned back on (fingers crossed this stays!)
On the Google home app - I currently don't have any homes on it. I can confirm it is linked to the same email address.
So assuming the manual change on the thermostat stays, the issue is that I can't really control it via the app and also i'm a bit afraid too in case it reverts back to auto-learning which defeats the purpose in installing the smart thermostat in the first place and manually setting the schedule on the thermostat is a bit cumbersome.
Do you know if there are known issues with the app like this? When trying to set the schedule I also found it very buggy when trying to copy days etc - sometimes it just wouldn't copy and I would have to close the app and reopen it again. The multiple homes which can't be deleted also look like another bug. I'm running it on IOS if that helps.
Thanks in advance,
Ben
