I have a Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen). When it was originally set up, I could change the schedule and turn the heat/cooling on or off via the iPhone app. Some time ago, the app stopped having the ability to do that. I would like to be able to change the schedule and turn the heat/cooling on or off via the iPhone app, particularly when traveling.
The Nest thermostat is working according to the schedules programmed into it, and the thermostat screen shows the current date and time, outside weather info.
The Nest App screen on the thermostat says that it is “Connected.” Pressing the ring shows that “This thermostat is connected to an account.” The thermostat says that it’s software is up to date.
There is a good wi-fi connection, and the thermostat and the phone are on the same wi-fi network.
Here are the steps I’ve taken:
The network has been restarted.
I deleted the app from my iPhone and downloaded the current version.
I removed the thermostat head and then replaced it.
I restarted the thermostat.
Nothing allows me see the schedule on my iPhone app and change it.
