Can’t invite on Google home

I keep getting the consistent

error, and try again message is there a fix that would allow you to send an invite

What "consistent" error are you getting? Does the person you are trying to invite have a Google (gmail) account? That's a requirement, but the error message doesn't tell you that.

“Can’t invite right now”. Then gives me an option to “Try Again” link, that never works
