Basically I’m trying to setup a new nest thermostat in the Google Home app. When I use the QR code on the device, the Google Home app just does nothing. When I try to set up with a code, i go through the steps but then it gets stuck in “Connecting…” screen and never continues from there. The only way I can set it up is if I’m using the Nest app and make a whole new “Home” for it but I want to add this device to my current “Home.” If i try to add the device to my current home in the nest app, there’s no add option, it just shows me my other nest thermostat that I had installed several years ago. Are you just not allowed to have more then one thermostat per home?

The Nest Learning Thermostat and the Nest Thermostat E can only be installed in the Google Nest app, but once installed there, they SHOULD then automatically appear in the Google Home app, provided that you are logging onto both apps with the same Google Account and are using the same Google Nest "home/structure".
I don't know why you are saying you need to make a new Google Nest "home/structure" in order to add your thermostat. In the Google Nest app, can't you go to Settings | Add Product and then either scan the QR code on your thermostat or select "Continue without scanning" and then select "Nest Thermostat"?

Google Workspace Accounts don't work very well with Google Nest products:

I'm just another Google Nest customer.
All we have are explanations like the following, posted on some of the above threads:
"We still recommend using your personal Google account when migrating your Nest account to Google or signing in on the Google Home app. Google Workspace accounts are accounts set up by businesses or organizations to access different Google business productivity tools. At this time, you can't use a Google Workspace account because the account data is managed by your organization."
