I cannot add my Thermometer to the Nest app. I select to Add product, scan the QR code. I see a spinner appear on the thermostat so I am obviously talking to it. I get a dialog on my nest app to select a network and password, this I do, and then I get an error on the app - one of three :
TD0007 / TD006 Thermostat couldn't connect to wifi
TD000 There was a problem adding the thermostat to your account
I have a google nest wifi and great coverage throughout the house.
I've added an extender to give me a unique SSID for a 2.4GHz and connected my mobile to that network, and tried to do the same with the thermometer. The error messages are the same as when I connect to the nest wifi (which has the same ssid for 2.4 & 5GHz).
I'm at a loss. I've reset the thermometer, rebooted my routers. And still the same errors trying to add to the Nest app.
Any idea? Thanks a million.
