When my Nest thermostat was installed some years ago, I was able to make the connection to my iPad and my mail account. Now years later, after updating the app on my iPad, I first got a message that my pasword was hacked. I try to connect the iPad again with the thermostat, but no luck. On the thermostat it says it is still connected to an account. I have no clue how I can solve this issue. My objective is that I would like to use my app on the iPad to configure the thermostat. But therefore I first need to connect the app… I have tried to add a new product, but when I enter the 7 digit code of the thermostat, it says it is not correct.
frustration is building up…

Sorry to hear about what happened but thanks for posting.
Just to confirm, are you able to login to your Nest app on another mobile device or on a computer's browser at https://bit.ly/3gW4i8w? Also, do you have a migrated Google account or an old Nest one?
Let me know more so I can dig deeper into this.
