I installed my first nest thermostat yesterday. Spent several hours trying to get the thermostat to connect to the app. The thermostat worked fine - it is powered on, controls the AC, and is connected to both the wifi and my account. However, I consistently get an error on the final step. I followed all of Google's recommended steps. When I called support the guy just repeated those same instructions but had no other solutions. I cannot find any working solutions online - the only instructions that seem to work for others are specific for the learning thermostat. Here is a screenshot of the error screen.

Hi JeremyD,
Thank you for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community and we're sorry for the delay.
While you're able to control and manage your Nest Thermostat through the display, apparently the Google Home app is not totally communicating with it. We'll check a couple of things for us to further isolate the issue. First, a refresh on your Nest Thermostat, mobile phone and your router is helpful. This way, we could eliminate some factors regarding syncing data using your network. Once your device has been restarted, go to the Google Home app and log out then log back in using the same account for your Nest Thermostat. Check if there's an available update for the Google Home app.
Also, could you share the case number from the support guy for us to check on further?
I hope to hear from you very soon.
Best regards,
Ryan
