Cannot connect to cloud

I just bought google nest thermostat and installed it. I am adding the device to google home app ( both IOS and Android) both having the same error when creating a nest network can not connect to cloud please try again later. this has been going for couple of weeks. i have tried resetting/ restarting/ unplugging etc.. the wifi, the thermostat, the application and none seems to work out.

PS. i tried my friend's account who already have nest thermostat in his house and it worked.

I appreciate all the possible steps you have tried. Are you using a Workspace account such as Google Workspace or any other domain? If so, due to its advanced security features, we'd suggest using a Gmail account or other working email so it will allow you to continue the setup.  Also, we can consider checking your Wi-Fi connection in the house to ensure that it's not hindering the thermostat's ability to communicate with your network. Here's your guide with the recommended settings.
