This should have been a simple job to replace my Honeywell thermostat with a Nest. It is a simple 4-wire system with R, W, Y, G wires. Everything goes fine through the setup but when I get to the test part, nothing happens. No heat, no AC, no fan. I replaced the old thermostat, everything works fine. I swap back in the Nest, nothing works. Specifically a York GY8S115C16UH11B model furnace. Any suggestions?

Hi savitale,
Yikes! i'm sorry to hear that your recently installed Nest Thermostat is not turning on your system. Could you share here the photo of your Honeywell thermostat wiring configuration and a photo of how you connected the wires to the Nest Thermostat base?
I'll look forward to your response.
Best,
Zoe

I can't take a photo at this point, but the Honeywell thermostat was connected:
White wire = W
Green wire = G
Yellow wire = Y
Red wire = Rh (jumpered to R)
The Nest was connected:
White wire = W1
Green wire = G
Yellow wire = Y
Red wire = RH

Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to us. Have you tried to manually test your system? With the Nest Thermostat installed, try manually activating the heating, cooling, and fan functions using the thermostat controls. If there is still no response, it suggests there may be an issue with the thermostat itself or the compatibility with your system. Also, power cycling your heating system can sometimes help resolve communication issues between the thermostat and the furnace. Try turning off the power to the furnace at the circuit breaker for a few minutes, then turn it back on and observe if the Nest Thermostat starts functioning.
Regards,
Zoe
