The thermostat is supposed to work with the app. IT DOES NOT. I've had two thermostats at two different locations. They worked fabulously until GOOGLE got involved. DO A BETTER JOB>

Update.
Check this mess out!
I got a reply tonight via gmail from ‘MelbaDT’ (from inside Google?)
I wrote and sent a reply, but it hit two autobot walls:

Thank you, MelbaDT.
Frankly speaking, although I appreciate knowing someone is paying attention here, I’ve seen LOTS of other feedback just like mine.
A thermostat without the ability to hold a owner-chosen temperature is very simply, fatally flawed. Having to check every few hours to see what the Nest HAS DECIDED FOR ME is rude and a constant nightmare.
Your response is a useless dead end for me and all other unfortunate Nest customers who chose the E model.
The only fair, appropriate response is a recall, or full credit toward a better choice. You gotta kill these things or fix ‘EM like yesterday!

Re: Temperature hold on Nest E
Hey drwillow,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay here.
While we don't have news to share about a firmware update for Nest E to hold certain temperatures, we'll definitely take this as feedback. Keep checking this Community page or follow our social channels for news and updates.
Best,
Melba
