Changing the sensor schedule

Nmyfinch

When you have multiple sensors in a zone, Nest lets you choose which sensor should be considered primary by time of day. For instance, in the Morning you can have one sensor be “on” and then evening can have another sensor be “on” for purposes of heating (or cooling) that zone. My problem is that the sensor schedules seem to be limited to pre-set time blocks. Nest considers “Morning” to be 7am to 11am and I can’t find a way to change that time block. Is there a way to do so? If not, this should absolutely be a functionality that’s added. Note I’m NOT talking about the schedules for temperature. I’m talking about the schedule for which sensor is active and when. I’d like to have more customization as to when a sensor takes over as primary since Nest’s pre-set time blocks for sensor schedules do not align with our family’s schedule. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Nmyfinch,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community forum.

The Nest Temperature Sensor schedule is for a set of blocks of time. We cannot change it or set a custom time when to use it but we'll take this as feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve our product and services.

We thank you for continuously sending your feedback and suggestions.

If you have further questions, let us know by creating a reply to this thread.

Best regards,

Hello,

No further questions but would love for this to be a feature that can be customized in the future. As of now, I have to manually change which sensor is primary since the set blocks of time don’t align well with our schedule.
Thank you,

Nicole
