Hi all -
I had posted a while back (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/Compatibility-checker/m-p/141664/emcs_t/S2h8...) and got some replies, but wanted to update this group in case others came across similar situations in the future. I posted the picture below and got responses that this would not work with the Nest (which was helpful and correct and pointed me in the right direction).
As I dug into it further, I learned that I could switch out the HVAC control panel tied to the furnace and my wiring did actually have the other wires needed (Y, G) to make a Nest installation work. It cost a couple of hundred bucks for the control panel I found, but just posting the update here in case others want to be brave and take it on - was really straightforward wiring at the end of the day. (PS - I am not an HVAC professional.)
Thanks again for the initial feedback, @Patrick_Caezza !
