Hey there Kshoe,

Welcome to the Nest Community Forum! Are you just checking if your wiring is compatible with the Nest Thermostat? After using the Nest Thermostat Compatibility Checker, it looks like your conventional system should work fine! To be safe, I would also encourage you to use the compatibility checker as well, and to read this article.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you had any other questions or concerns.

Best regards,

Jeran

Hi Guys, I got a little discouraged bc their was so many jumpers in the picture and once I punched it into the checker it said get a hold of a nest specialist. I haven’t done that yet though.

Hey Kshoe,

Nest Thermostats do not use jumper wires. From what I can see, you have G, Y, W, R, and I think W2. Is the white wire connected to the W2? Using the checker, I am showing that you are compatible. Please let me know if that helps, or if you have any other questions from here.

Best regards,

Jake

Yes the white wire is going into the W2.

Hey Kshoe,

Thank you so much for confirming that. Using the checker, and entering those wires, I am showing that you are compatible. You won't need the jumper wires, as Nest Thermostats do not require those. Please let me know if you have any questions from here, as I would be happy to help out.

Best regards,

Jake
