Connect phone to thermometer

Hello, I have a Nest 3rd generation in house just purchased. 

I have : 

The app on my phone

The Thermometer is set to my Wi-Fi 

I go through the “add product on App” 

Input  thermometer product code into app 

then nothing on phone. 

on the thermometer dial in  Nest App section it says “ connected to an account” 

In the app on phone I see no screen showing the thermometer dial thus allowing me to set temperature whilst out. 

Is a reset needed on the nest thermometer to remove previous house owners details? 

Any advise greatly received

Hi PaulH3, 

 

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. In what country are you located? Could you please check if you have multiple Home structure in the Nest app. Your thermostat might be in a different one. 

 

You can only check and control products in one home at a time with the Nest app. If you have more than one home in the app, you need to switch between them.

 

  1. Open the Nest app Nest app.
  2. At the top left, tap Menu .
  3. Tap the home you want to switch to.
