I used to be able to have my Nest thermostat automatically turn to away when I alarm my Simplisafe to away to save energy, and start back up when I turn my alarm off. But ever since the Google integration, I'm no longer able to use this function. Can someone help me please? Thanks!

Hi Katie,

Sorry to hear about your out-of-sync Simplisafe and thermostat. I can totally get how frustrating it can be when two compatible devices become seemingly incompatible for no reason! Let's work together to get your devices working in tandem again.

After the update, it looks like the best way for these two products to merge is through Google Assistant. You can use Google Home (via the Google Assistant) to arm your SimpliSafe system. Keep in mind that it only allows you to arm your system. For your protection, you cannot disarm through Google Assistant by voice command. Here is SimpliSafe's guide on how to integrate with Google Home, just in case.

It would be worth reaching out to their support as well if you have any issues with integration. Here are some steps that could possibly help:
- Make sure that your thermostat and SimpliSafe are on the 2.4Ghz network band. If these two devices are far apart, the 2.4Ghz band will help stabilize their connectivity.
- Ensure that there are not any major kitchen appliances, Bluetooth-enabled devices, or Nest home products near their vicinity, as it could interrupt your thermostat's connection.

Let us know how it goes! If you still continue to run into issues, we'll get right back on it ASAP.
