I just upgraded my wifi router. I used the same SSID and password as the old one, but I am unable to get my thermostat gen 4 to connect again. I need some help with this please.

Hi @sbarabuscio,

Thank you for posting in the community. I can see that your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th Gen) isn't reconnecting after upgrading your Wi-Fi router and using the same network name (SSID) and password. Don’t worry, help is here.

To gather all the necessary information and provide you with the best assistance, please answer the following questions:

  • Are you trying to connect to the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz network?
  • Did you see any error codes on your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th Gen) or in the Google Home app?
  • Have you tried updating the network in the Google Home app? If not, please follow the steps below:
  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices.
  3. Select your thermostat.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Device information and then Wi-Fi.
  6. The app will walk you through changing the Wi-Fi network.

Important: You need to be near your thermostat to update your Wi-Fi information.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Derick.
