Good morning.   I have just bought a Nest Thermostat for a rental home.   I want to have some control over the bills as I live several miles away    I have entered my LOCK code and all seems ok 

Questions  

Can I set a temperature schedule that only I can alter from my mobile phone   IE. Is it password protected? 

Can my tenants override my settings? 

If they manage to override the settings would my mobile phone indicate this ?

Hey Banjo,

I would be more than happy to help answer this for you. You will want to give your tenants "Home Entry Only" access, as this wouldn't allow them to change any settings. From there, you as the owner should have full control over the device from your app. You can read more about it by following the article here.
