Hello heroes,
I currently have two thermostats, one for heating and for cooling. I'm replacing the heating thermostat with a nest learning thermostat.
It has one white wire and two red wires. Both red wires are connected to R on the old thermostat.
I'm not sure how should I setup my nest with above wiring.
Help appreciated.

Hello Edward,
Thank you for checking in. I figured out the issue. The cooling thermostat was powered by the heating thermostat and hence the two red wires inserted together.
As soon as I powered on the heating thermostat with only red wire, cooling thermostat started complaining about loss of power on its R wire.
As a solution, I wounded one Red wire onto another and inserted it into the R slot of new thermostat. Problem solved.
