Daikin Fan Coil

I’ve installed my nest with a Daikin fan coil heating and cooling system. I can get the nest connected as in the diagram, but it doesn’t heat or cool. The only thing that works correctly is the variable speed fan. I’m sure it must be something I’ve done incorrectly? Any insight would be great!

Hello urquhartthomas,

It's nice to see you reaching out here in the Google Nest Community Forum to discuss the odd behavior you're experiencing with your system after installing the Nest Thermostat. I'd be glad to check this out for you.

To make sure, can you post a picture of your old thermostat's wiring? From what country are you posting? Also, what's the model number of your HVAC system?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark

Hi folks,

Thanks for stopping by, Mark.

@urquhartthomas, chiming in—your unit's control panel shows three fan wires where Nest Thermostats can only have one. Check for Fan compatibility with Nest Thermostats for more. Also, your unit has the non-standard labels of L, M, H, CLG, HTG, and COM means that your system is proprietary. Proprietary systems aren’t compatible with Google Nest Thermostats. However, some proprietary systems can be rewired by a pro installer to be compatible.

Let us know if that helps.

Best,

Zoe
