Nest is learning it needs to reboot every few mins

Just purchased Nest Learning thermostat yesterday.  Theromstat keeps rebooting every few minutes.  Installed correctly according to directions with C wire.  Battery was charged and is showing between 3.8 and 3.9 V, Wifi is steady and not an issue.  Read every post I could find to fix the issue but nothing has worked to fix the issue.

Does anyone from Google even read or respond to these?

Hello chillywilly3075,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your Nest Thermostat that reboots itself. I'd be happy to shed some light on the situation here.

Did you notice that your thermostat shows a blinking green light near the top of its display? If so, it might be starting up or restarting to update the software. Typically, this will only last a minute or two, depending on the network connection. Once your thermostat has finished starting up, it'll turn on so you can use it.

To be sure, can you share with us a photo of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup? Also, gather the power readings in the Technical Info settings and its Software version.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark

Sorry about the delayed response.  It goes blank and unresponsive for about 1 min then goes to the "G" screen, the colors spin then shows the temperature.  Stays on for approximately 2 mins then restarts.  I've checked for software update and tried to run tests but can't get past the two minute mark.

No green light flashing.

Thank you in advance!

Hi there chillywilly3075,

Thanks for providing some additional information above. It looks like your Nest Learning Thermostat detects all of your wires and reads sufficient power. Let's take a closer look at it. Please check the 20 pins at the back of your thermostat display. Ensure that those pins are complete.

I appreciate your input, Mark.

Best,

Jenelyn

All pins are intact, bottom pins are all even.  Top row, third from the left is shorter and both pins on the far outer ends are longer.

Please see photo below

Hey chillywilly3075,

Thanks for posting the photo of the pins of your Nest Thermostat. Those pins should be uniform in sizes and shape. We'd like to dig deeper into this. Please fill out this form with the needed information and let us know once you're done.

Kind regards,

Jenelyn
