Daikin and Nest compatible?

Hello, I have Daikin Skyair rzq30tavjua. Was wondering if this was compatible with the Nest thermostat?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, where are you located? Do you have a conventional or heat pump system? Please share the wiring setup of your current thermostat.

Hi Emerson,

we have a heat pump system. I’m not sure of the wiring set up but this is what Daikin refers to as the remote for the unit. However it is wired directly to the unit in the attic. The remote is from Daikin. I saw it once off the wall and it didn’t have a wiring harness in the back. Does this help?

Thanks for getting back to us. Try removing the back of your existing Thermostat and take a photo of the wiring. Share the make and model of your existing Thermostat here. In case you still have the manual of your Thermostat and heat pump system, you can check it to see the wiring setup so that we'll know where the wires should be connected.
