Data download for Nest Thermostat

I’ve given up on this…

This spring we had a 3 day long power cut. Throughout that time when I went on to the Nest app, it was hilariously telling me that my imminent hypothermia was all in my mind, as the boiler had allegedly been running and on and off slots marked for all 3 days.

So it appears that my quest for usage data was flawed from the start, as it seems what is shown in the Nest app is fictional guesstimates at best!

What Nest thermostat model do you have? For your reference, you can check out this article on how to tell which Nest thermostat you have.

Did you see any error code on the Nest Thermostat screen?

Did you try to reset the thermostat manually? 

Here is how to reset your thermostat:

1. Press the thermostat down until the screen turns off (about 10 seconds), then release.
2. Press and release the ring to turn the screen back on and complete the restart process.
