Delayed AC with C Wire

MotorcycleMike
Community Member

I have a Nest Learning Thermostat, Gen 2, with AC delayed issues. I confirmed the C wire is physically connected and shows in  My Equipment Wiring. I also confirmed the battery voltage is above 3.6V in the Technical Info when I get the delayed message. I usually see 3.8V or 3.9V. Though it seems this should not matter since the C wire is connected. I have not yet measured the C wire voltage. What do I use for the reference/ground? What else can I do to fix this issue?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi MotorcycleMike,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. It looks like your power reading is fine. Your Nest Thermostat should work as it should. Please try to remove your C wire and restart your thermostat by going to Settings > Reset > Restart. After that, monitor your thermostat behavior if the issue persists. Ensure to turn the breaker off before touching the wires.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jenelyn
