All worked well on the stand alone app - migrating to Home has meant limited control on scheduling setting temperatures etc system coming on randomly etc. I want to go back to the original Nest app. If I delete Home will the app pick up just where I left off or do I have to reinstall it all over again?

Hello @ASC,
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, there is not a way to migrate back to Nest once you have migrated your account to Google.

Should only need to reinstall the Nest App, login with the same ID and Password, and should pick up where you were last at. This will be true as long as all you did was delete the app and did not “remove the device” from the app before you deleted it. I have both the Nest App and the Google Home app at the same time.

Hello folks,
I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Thanks for the input, @listairee and @CoolingWizard.
@ASC, in addition to what was mentioned above, deleting the Home structure will automatically remove your thermostat from the app, and you may need to set up the device again. Ken's suggestion is on point. If you've accidentally gotten logged out of the Nest app, just login with the email account associated with your thermostat. Also, you can always go back to where you left off as long as you didn't force close the Nest app when it was in use.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.
Regards,
Mark
