Delete auto schedule and disable learn function

I am looking at a couple of different smart thermostats.  The only “smartness” I really want out of this thermostat is the ability to change temperature remotely.  I do not want any auto scheduling at all or the thermostat attempting to learn at what temperature I would like it to operate.

Is there a way to make this a totally manual thermostat save the ability to adjust and monitor the temperature remotely?

If so, can you please provide the steps to accomplish this?

 Thanks!

Assuming you're looking at the Nest Thermostat model (not Nest Thermostat E or Nest Learning Thermostat), see here:
