Disconnected Nest Learning Thermostat Gen 3

We have just replaced a gen 3 thermostat with a new gen 4. As per the installation instructions, we removed the gen 3 device from the app before installing the new one. New one is working well.

My concern is with the old thermostat. Despite being disconnected from power, it is still showing connection with our wifi network. How can I delete that connection prior to disposing of this old thermostat as it won't give a menu to adjust settings and it no longer shows up in our apps (Nest or Google Home).

Thanks.

at this point since you’ve done the necessary steps to remove it from your app you can connect to display and simply do a factory reset and that will delete all the configuration and the network information and it’s ready to be sold or discarded
