I have to say that I am outraged at the recent news that there is to be support discontinuation of some Nest Thermostats and that my remote features will no longer work from October 25, this is awful support for customers who here in Europe are being offered a discount on some ugly device that’s not even a part of the Nest family of products. This is a fail for Google who are totally disrespecting customers and the money they have invested in them in terms of sales. Really annoying that I am going to be hard pushed to find a product I like and indeed have the money to do so.

Agreed, rely on the remote features a lot, as we travel and it is nice to be able to come in to a warm home in the winter time.

Agreed. This is purely a money grab that penalizes early adopters of new technology. Exactly the ones they need for their future products.

I hope we can band together and file for a class action lawsuit, this behavior is uncalled for.
The VERY least they could do is allow the devices to become opensource so you can assign your own webserver to it to control the device. But even that is asking too much of most people.
Give us back the device you SOLD to us.
