Displaying Room Temp rather than Thermostat Temp on a Nest Thermostat (GA01334)

I have the Nest Thermostat (non-learning, GA01334) installed and want to swap the larger Thermostat Temp with the smaller Room Temp readings so the Room temp is the dominant item on the display.

When I look at the thermostat I want to know the room temp, not the setting of the system.     This is pretty much the industry standard in thermostats - that they always show room temp (and often the current time), but you can call up & adjust the thermostat temp when you need.

Why does Nest design the display contrary to the accepted industry standard?

I have the same question. It's likely because their geek engineers don't think like normals. Also there's no info on the Nest app about how to reset the **bleep** thing to erase the "learned" but way off temp schedules. POS, in my opinion.

Hi folks,

Thank you for voicing your concerns in our community.

Nest thermostats were designed with customer comfort in mind. However, sometimes comfort doesn't mean the same thing to all of us. Your voice is important in improving the Nest thermostat and Nest app.

You can fill out this feedback form. Your responses will be reviewed by our team to be taken into consideration.

You can find more information on how to delete the learned temperature schedules by following this article on how to reset Nest thermostat settings.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Angel.
