Do Temperature Sensors Learn Your Schedule?

I just got some temperature sensors to adjust my heating based on my bedroom's temperature when I sleep.  I was extremely disappointed to see that the schedules in the Nest app are predefined.  Night time is from 9pm to 7am.  I sleep from 12am to 8am, so this is totally useless.

Does anyone know if I change the sensors manually, will the learning thermostat learn when to use each sensor, based on when I manually switch sensors?  Otherwise, I feel like this is key functionality that is completely missing from the temperature sensors.  Why can't I use google assistant to change which sensor is being used?  Why can't I change the dominant sensor in a routine?

Why are so many smart home devices so **bleep** dumb??????

The ability to change the schedules is a frequent request on here; for years now. The lack of voice control too. It sucks. I wouldn't have bought my Nest if I'd known and I'll probably send it back soon.

Anyway, to answer your question, it appears that 'no'. It will not learn.

You’ll be able to choose which sensor controls your thermostat. You can:

- Use only a Nest Temperature Sensor

- Use only the sensors built-in to your thermostat

- Schedule your thermostat to use different sensors at different times of the day

You can manually set it, or you can use the four predefined times of day.
