I am getting en email stating that as of September 29, 2023 my Nest thermostat has to be changed.  How do I do this?  I am old and don't understand what to do. Would someone please contact me and walk me through this?

Google Nest is discontinuing its "Works with Nest" feature on Sept. 29, 2023, as noted in the blog post below.

Is it possible that you have some device that is using the "Works with Nest" capability in conjunction with your thermostat? If you copy and paste the email you received, perhaps @CoolingWizard  can lend some insight.

What this amounts to is the Google used Works with Nest to gain market share and now that Google Nest has gained increase market share, they have decided to end the relationships and now create Google only environment in an effort to increase its own market share and crush the competition off.
