Does a Nest thermostat have programmable stage2 delay?

Rufus_G

Hi - I'm looking for a thermostat which will allow me to program a fairly long delay between a stage1 call and a stage2 call.  Example: suppose my night time heat setting is 60F and day time setting is 68F.  When daytime occurs (desired 68F), I would like to have a stage1 call only, and only have a stage2 call after , say 30 minutes.

Can a Nest do this or something similar?

At this current time, none of the Nest thermostats have the ability to set a delay time for and stage.

Hi there,

Thanks for checking that with us. However, the Nest Thermostats doesn’t support that. We’re always looking for ways to improve and we’ll take this as feedback. Let me know if you still have questions and concerns otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.

I appreciate your help, @Patrick_Caezza.

Best,

Jenelyn

Hi Thanks for the reply.  I would imagine most beople don't care about having a programmable stage2 delay, but for me it would have been enough of a reason to buy a Nest.

I would have "tagged" Patrick, except I don't know how to "tag" someone.

Regards,

Rufus
