Hi Jeffrey, 

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the community! The Nest thermostat can work without an internet or Wi-Fi connection. However, your thermostat will limit your access to its smart and remote features. You'll still be able to control your home temperature like a traditional thermostat by toggling its screen/ring.
