E thermostat had stopped working

The thermostat is not working. I have gone through the restart procedure but it's not worked. I either a blank screen with flooding been light or the logo. When I please it occasionally it says it's restarting, which it doesn't, and I need to restart. Then goes back to a blank screen.

Sorry to hear about what's going on with your Nest Thermostat E and also for the delayed response. I'd like to get into the bottom of this. 

A few questions — did this thermostat work with your HVAC system before? If yes, when did this start happening? Also, are you getting a code or a message on your thermostat's display before it restarts? 

If you could also provide a photo of your thermostat base showing the wires as well as provide a rundown of the steps you've already tried, I'd greatly appreciate it.
