Hi Rp85,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're seeing an E105 error code on your Nest Thermostat, even though it has been working for over three years and your AC and Furnace unit was serviced less than six months ago with no trouble. No worries, I'm here to help.

For better assistance, please respond to the following questions:

  • The error code you mentioned is related to a specific device which is the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen. Could you please confirm that you have this model? (Here is a helpful article to identify the type of Nest Thermostat).
  • What is the make and model of your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment?
  • How many wires are connected to the Nest Thermostat?
  • How are the wires labelled?
  • Are all the wires firmly seated into their terminals, with no loose or exposed strands?

Please keep me posted on your findings.

Regards,

Byron
