As soon as I connect my nest temp sensor. My next thermostat starts coding out for e105. If I remove the sensor from the system and restart thermostat. It runs normal as it did before.

Hi folks,

I'm sorry for the delayed response. Let's find out more about what happened.

Having the device show a wiring report is never ideal when setting up a Nest Temperature Sensor. But I did find a helpful article with some troubleshooting steps. Please let me know if that helps or if the issue still persists.

Best regards,

Mark

I hired a pro. He came to the house and found two issues. The wiring harness is as old as the house and very brittle. Fortunately I had one wire he was able to hook up and the transformer was toasted.

Hi Squishy,

Yikes! Thanks for letting me know about what happened. I'm glad that you were able to contact an HVAC technician and were able to determine what caused the issue. But I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

How's your Nest thermostat doing? Is it working now? Please let us know so we can assist you right away.

Best regards,

Mark
